Maurice B. Quirin has been a landscape and transportation photographer since 1972. He's a member of the New Hampshire Aviation Historical Society and National Railway Historical Society. Mr. Quirin is co-author, with Edward W. Brouder Jr., of Manchester's Airport: Flying Through Time (ISBN 0-9721489-9-X). Mr. Quirin also worked as a freelance editor and anchor for The Wall Street Journal Radio Network and was news director at WBNS radio in Columbus, OH.
On July 8, 2013, B-25J "Maid in the Shade" was the first of the warbirds to arrive at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.
The next day, Saturday, the Dauntless and Mustang joined the Boeing B-25 on the Aviation Museum of Kentucky ramp.
A few lucky souls even got to fly in the P-51 for hard-earned dollars!
As the infomercial says: "But wait, there's more!" The following weekend of July 19, the CAF Gulf Coast Wing flew into Lexington with their beautiful B-17G, "Texas Raiders" (483872).
